What i m wanting to do is keep a poe switch in the attic.
It would be easy using a patch panel or even cat5e keystone couplers to extend the cables into a closet with a power line.

Through a room upstairs there is a door that opens and you can step out into the attic.
The plan is to run a single cat5 cable from the study on the ground floor outside the house using metal trunking to the attic where i will install a network switch netgear gs116 maybe.
