Pneumatic Float Switch

Float switches for water empty and fill your tank with a single device this dual level switch includes two float switches that actuate at different levels.

Pneumatic float switch.

The magnetic float switch is an air sensor for detecting liquid level inside a vessel. Applications include level control valve control deaerators condensate tanks oil level control drip legs and boilers. The float mechanism mounted within the vessel oper ates a ceramic coated magnet. Sump and sewage float switches have a float that raises and lowers depending on the water level in the sump basin to automatically control switch operation.

Mount through a threaded connection at the top of your tank. When water rises to a preset level in the sump basin the switch turns on and the pump starts. Pneumatic devices use air pressure to perform their functions and float valves contain a buoyant float that detects the liquid level and controls the opening and closing of the pneumatic output valve accordingly. As the float rises or falls with liquid level it moves a magnetic sleeve into or out of the field of a switch actuating magnet causing switch operation.

The model kpfs pneumatic float switch can be ordered to have the pneumatic valve open when it senses a liquid level rising lr option or open when it senses the liquid level falling lf option. The model 207 utilizes a model 106 installed in a carbon steel tank. Often used to extend and then retract a cylinder at different speeds these valves create two actions and have two exhaust ports which allows you to control the speed of each action by attaching a flow control valve to each exhaust port. A manual valve actuator is provided to open the valve manually if desired.
