After the epoxy sets firmly the block is removed the ends of the coil wire cut away from the form and the coil form walls are pushed in to free them from the finished coil. A coil form bobbin 20 for winding coil winding wire is a flat disk 22 formed with a plurality of peripheral radial slots 24 25 26 comprising at least one set of n slots spaced around the periphery of the flat disk dividing the bobbin into a respective set of n segments. There may even be coil forms hiding in everyday things. Or clumsy taps on the winding of the coil are provided. Old official coil forms are not readily available and pvc pipe is uuuuugly. I searched for coil forms large coil forms etc and have not had exactly stellar results.

The small holes in the form are used to secure the wire to the form at the beginning and end of the winding. Figure 2 coil winding forms made from pvc pipe. There are plastic supply stores and craft stores but it would be good to know what to look or ask for.
